Indoor PoolsVancouver's nine indoor pools are open year-round from early morning to late evening making it easy to fit busy schedules into programs for length swimming, aquafit classes or learn-to-swim lessons and more. Park Board pools are located throughout the City, are readily affordable and accessible to all. Take the plunge and get wet!
Outdoor PoolsThe Park Board operates five outdoor pools throughout the City. The two outdoor neighbourhood pools and three destination, beachside pools are open during the summer. Kitsilano Pool is heated and offers easy access "beach entry" for children. It is the only salt water pool in Vancouver and one of the few in the world. Second Beach Pool in Stanley Park is a heated, beach entry-style pool on the shores of English Bay. On the east side of the city, New Brighton Pool located north of the PNE offers regular length swimming and a beach entry for toddlers. All the pools are heated and accessible to persons with a disability. The outdoor pools are now closed and will re-open again in the Spring of 2010.
