Audio-visual aids in the Council Chamber

Note NOTE: If you plan to use audio-visual resources, contact the City Clerk's office at least two days before your presentation to request the equipment you need.

At least one day before your presentation, meet with a representative of the City Clerk's office to review the operation of the equipment.

Audio-Visual equipment available for speakers

The following equipment is available for speakers to use at meetings held in the Council Chamber:

  • PC computer for Powerpoint, audio-visual presentations, and internet access.
  • Monitor and audio connections for Apple laptop. Please advise the City Clerk's Office if you will bringing an Apple laptop for your presenation so the proper adaptor can be supplied.
  • VHS-format VCR.
  • Audio cassette player.
  • Elmo visual presenter. This equipment acts as an overhead projector, not only for transparencies, but also for physical objects, such as paper copies and small objects.

The output from all visual equipment is projected onto a screen located on the east wall of the Chamber, Councillors' computers on their desks, the screen in the foyer, and the live webcast.

The output from all audio equipment is played through the Council Chamber speaker system, which includes the foyer, and the live webcast.
